We don't mind telling you that Guardian is one of the world's largest manufacturers of float glass and fabricated glass products. You also should know that we manufacture and supply the automotive industry with a variety of exterior products. We've also become a significant player in the building materials distribution business. And somewhere along the line, we became the world's largest producer of mirrors!

Headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, the privately held Guardian Industries group of companies has over 20,000 employees worldwide (that's 21 countries, on 5 continents), and we value them above all else.

Our UK plant is based in Goole, Yorkshire.  It is our 23rd float plant in our global family. We employ around 250 people and although we only produce float glass and laminated glass, we hold stocks of coated glass, patterned glass and mirror from other Guardian Plants.

We have supplied glass for many global projects including the Beijing Zhong Fang Building, Dubai Internet City and Edificia Francisco Mellao, Brazil.

The Company has expanded dramatically since 1970 but the only barrier to preventing us from expanding even more quickly is the availability of good people - people who share our vision and are ready to grasp the opportunities and challenges a global company can offer. Are you one of these people?

Initially you will be based at our Goole plant, although there is a huge opportunity to work in one of our other 25 plants overseas.

But take a deeper look, and you’ll see a level of independence - and innovation - that is virtually unheard of in the corporate world. Here bureaucracy is quite simply obsolete. It’s the enemy.
