Aquaterra Energy

Aquaterra Energy Ltd is a young and dynamic company that is committed to providing top quality services to the International Offshore Oil and Gas Industry as well as ensuring it plays a significant and responsible role towards its employees and also within the local economy. In early 2007 Aquaterra purchased over 10,000 sq ft of modern office accommodation near to Norwich International Airport to assist in its planned expansion over the next few years and has just moved in to the second of the two offices, and is in the process of having a new reception and break-out area built to link the two. A third office building has been bought nearby to further allow for growth.

Aquaterra achieved ISO 9001 accreditation within months of start up and is currently developing a sustainable environmental policy with a plan of achieving ISO14001 accreditation during 2009. Aquaterra has just enjoyed local success in the Norfolk Recruitment Awards. The company was Highly Commended in the Best Employer Category.
Its contribution to the local economy was recognised in late 2007 with the prestigious Eastern Daily Press "Best New Business of 2007" award. Aquaterra Energy rapidly recognised the lack of younger Engineers and Technicians currently working within the offshore industry and the skills shortage that exists within it. It has undertaken to develop and encourage young engineering talent through an undergraduate Summer Placement Scheme and a Graduate Training Programme.
The Company has quickly gained a reputation for providing clients with reliable and economical engineering solutions. The first Sea Swift rig installed platform unit was successfully installed in Autumn 2007 and further installations are planned during 2008. Aquaterra has developed many innovative techniques related to these structures and has filed seven patents related to its design and usage. Included amongst the other varied work Aquaterra has executed over the last few years is template supply for various clients worldwide including one 11 slot unit recently installed in North Africa; specialised centraliser and VIV suppression devices supplied to operators in the West African, Mediterranean and Far Eastern sectors.

Aquaterra Energy has developed a strong reputation for the provision of Riser Analysis for many clients in all regions of the world and has been developing its capability in this area to include the supply of specialised tensioning equipment for clients internationally. Aquaterra Energy's core business activities comprise, amongst others, Drilling Templates, Tieback Engineering, Conductor Centralisers, VIV suppression devices, Riser Analysis, Riser Tensioning systems, Slot Recovery/Additional Slot Provision, Cement Top Up and Subsea Camera Systems. Please see our website for more details.
Our Special Projects division compliments these core business areas to provide cutting edge solutions to a range of drilling, rig or platform related issues.

Aquaterra's international success was recognised in April 2009, receiving a Queen's Award for International Trade. More than 90% of turnover has been attained from exports and the national recognition of a Queen’s Award confirms Aquaterra’s establishment as a leading and dependable supplier to the International Oil and Gas industry.
