Our industry recognised graduate programme spans a four year period. The initial two years will allow you to undertake a series of placements across our business, to gain experience within the different environments in which we operate and to gain an understanding of our overall business operations. While in years three and four you will embark on the extended section of the programme in a suitable role to continue your professional development and become an integral part of a team, building levels of expertise, knowledge and competence within a specific area of our business.

Training & Development
You will have your own individual training plan, which will take into consideration your career aspirations, the needs of the business to undertake and complete projects and the needs of the relevant professional body for your discipline to ensure that the required level of skills and competence are met. You will also have the support of a mentor who will assist you on your path to professional chartered status with the relevant discipline institute.
As an organisation we are keen to support our trainees to undertake any required further education to become a chartered professional. To assist with this our Operations, Services Technology, Commissioning Services, Site Operations and Research & Development graduates will attend the University of Strathclyde to study for a Postgraduate Certificate in Power Plant Engineering.
Graduates of other disciplines will receive support and advice as to the most suitable training courses, workshops and seminars you will require to attend to support your on-job training.
In addition to this you will also undertake the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board's Supervisory Management Training & Development Scheme, which leads to a professional management qualification.
Furthermore, to help you develop a business and commercial awareness we provide training in additional skills, including report writing skills, team-building, financial awareness and IT training.
