The Graduate Development Programme (GDP) consists of four six month placements and is tailored to develop your skills as an innovator, technical expert and people manager. The placement structure gives you an opportunity to begin building your reputation and credibility from day one and enables you to start contributing to the business very soon after you start on the programme.
AREVA T&D is looking for graduates who not only have the right technical skills but who are able to work in teams and deliver what can be very challenging projects.
Placements
Our GDP gives you the opportunity to experience working within four business units. You could spend your placements in four of the following areas:
- Transformers - Design, manufacture, test and deliver a full range of transformers up to 800kV and 2000 MVA
- Medium Voltage Switchgear - Responsible for the supply of bespoke indoor switchgear solutions from 3.3kV through to 36kV
- Power Electronics Systems - Provides turnkey solutions for HVDC & FACTS applications
- Automation - Support and R&D for an innovative component manufacturing process for long distance power protection solutions
- Services - Erection, commissioning, maintenance, and refurbishment of equipment such as transformers, protection & control, SCADA systems, medium and high voltage switchgear
- Technology Centre - An independent R&D unit providing professional and innovative engineering consultancy services

The programme will challenge your thinking and provide you with opportunities to develop your technical skills, improve interpersonal and management skills and work in a project environment that will stretch your natural drive and motivation.

On Completion
On successful completion of GDP you will have the opportunity to move to a substantive role in one of the business units and your development will continue on the AREVA Professional Development Programme.
