Graduate Production Managers
Degrees disciplines required: Mechanical, Chemical, Polymer, Materials, Manufacturing Systems, Process Improvement, Product Development (or combinations of these)
Location: Varies and mobility and the ability to relocate are important - you can expect to have 3 jobs in next 7 years
If you are an enthusiastic graduate looking for an opportunity to develop whilst enhancing your qualifications through stimulating but demanding work we may be able to help. You should have a genuine interest in advanced extrusion, conversion, printing and recycling technologies and relish a challenge. Our business presents interesting challenges for the preservation of products, shelf life extension and environmental management amongst others.
Over the years we have offered graduates a great start in industry and many have now developed into high profile roles including graduates who now have operational responsibility for their own factories!
You will have a good standard degree in a technically biased subject, strong project management and analytical skills all of which will be complemented by the ability to deliver results, excellent communication skills and outstanding teamwork. It is essential to have a good understanding of business issues in a manufacturing environment not to mention a 'can do' attitude and plenty of drive.
The Graduate Programme is designed to meet both the needs of the graduate and the business and is therfore not prescriptive. It is likely that you will learn the production process from the grass roots and work on the shopfloor initially so that you can extrude, convert, print and recycle film. You will then develop in a production management, technical or engineering role that is designed to play to your strengths. A broad exposure to managers and directors will provide big opportunities to learn from the best in our industry and get yourself known.

This environment isn't for everyone but if you want an opportunity to learn, develop and contribute to the development of a highly focused commercial operation then we will be interested to hear from you.
