Responsibilities
During the placement you would have exposure to an enterprise employing lean manufacturing techniques and modern quality control procedures as expected from company engaged within the automotive industry. The placement will involve either specific project work, elements of an ongoing job role or more likely a combination of both. This will include opportunities to work within a team to improve output and quality by:
- Creating new or modifying current manufacturing and quality processes and procedures;
- Resolving problems identified either by external customers, trend data or team members;
- Manipulating and using data to establish the basis for actions;
- Supporting the departments on key tasks and projects, supporting team members, working both independently and within teams;
- Assisting the department to achieve its business goals
Training Provided
- A comprehensive induction programme; and
- The opportunity to develop your skills both personally and professionally through regular reviews with your line manager, identifying and supporting any areas which require further development.
Skills & Experience Required
- Working towards a Degree in appropriate discipline;
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or commercial environment would be an advantage;
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills; and
- Ambition, flexibility and confidence coupled with creativity, imagination and a desire to learn; and a willingness to take on responsibility.
