If ever there was a world-recognised brand name synonymous with a particular product, it is Coca-Cola. But while soft drinks represent the company's heritage, Coca-Cola Enterprises is responsible for manufacturing, selling and distributing a wide range of products including energy drinks, still and sparkling waters, juices, sports and fruit drinks. In addition to the various Coke® brands, products include Dr Pepper®, Fanta®, Sprite®, Schweppes Abbey Well® and Glaceau Vitamin Water® to name but a few. Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) is the largest bottler of Coca-Cola products globally.

The company's roots can be traced back to the birth of the American Coca-Cola bottling business in the 19th century, although today it has grown to serve well over 400 million people throughout North America and Europe. CCE has around 4,650 employees in the UK, with seven manufacturing sites plus regional offices and depots. Coca-Cola GB is a wholly-owned subsidiary which is responsible for marketing and developing new and existing brands.

Building on success Coca-Cola is a major sponsor of the 2012 Olympic Games and CCE view this as a huge opportunity to build on its current successes. As a major corporation, CCE is also well aware of its corporate responsibilities, for which it has planned and implemented measures addressing energy conservation (climate change), sustainable packaging/recycling and water stewardship.
