Live in London, the East of England or the South East? Chances are we delivered the power that boiled your kettle this morning. UK Power Networks may be a new name but we're one of the UK's largest energy distribution companies and a quarter of the population relies on us to go about their daily lives.

UK Power Networks is responsible for keeping the lights on for customers regardless of who they pay their bill to. We are not an electricity supplier - we are a distribution company. We provide service alterations, upgrades, connections, full-scale network connections for infrastructure, large commercial, industrial and housing developments. We provide specialist services within connections for, among others, local authorities, highway lighting departments and CCTV operators.

UK Power Networks is the distribution business in the East of England, London and the South East. We own and operate three public electricity distribution networks, sometimes referred to as DNOs. As such, UK Power Networks is regulated by Ofgem. Some of our biggest projects include providing the electrical infrastructure for the Olympic Park.

UK Power Networks Services is the unregulated arm of the business. It designs, builds, operates and maintains private electricity networks for clients in the rail, airports, defence and commercial sectors. Key projects include Heathrow and Gatwick airports, High Speed 1 (Channel Tunnel rail link), Thameslink, Ministry of Defence and Canary Wharf. UK Power Networks Services also operates, maintains and renews the London Underground power distribution system.

As a company we aspire to become an employer of choice, to be sustainably cost efficient and be a respected corporate citizen. To ensure we achieve these objectives, our culture is based around the following values: integrity, continuous improvement, diversity and inclusivity, respect, unity and responsibility. If you share these values, you are the candidates we want to hear from.

We offer a range of training programmes from apprenticeships to graduate schemes as well as training courses if and when needed. Keen to shape our future and make us one of the best stand-alone electricity distributors in the UK?
