IT Delivery - User Experience / Digital Strategy Analyst

PA Consulting Group are looking for Graduate User Experience Designers to join our London office. This is fantastic opportunity for talented individuals with a passion for design to join a leading global management consultancy firm. We are looking for graduates who have a desire to conceive, design and deliver innovative solutions for complex industry issues across sectors. We work collaboratively with our clients and their users to help them use digital to the best effect, meeting their users’ needs through the delivery of excellent intuitive services. Some examples of what we do and how we work include:

  • Google: We worked with Google to launch an award-winning global real-time music game – JAM. Within hours of launch, Jam with Chrome spread rapidly through blogs and the global media and has since won a number of awards
  • The Met Office: We co-designed and developed the WOW for the Met Office a cloud based online crowdsourcing service which allows weather enthusiasts to record and share their weather data. This service now has well over 100 million data observations from users in over 150 countries, from Antarctica to Aberdeen.
  • White-goods manufacturer: We have developed design concepts and ran pan-European user research for a new IoT proposition for a European based OEM.
  • UK Clinical Trials Gateway – We designed and developed an improved experience for the UKCTG website by providing a fresh look and feel, adding improved functionality and making it accessible to mobile by developing Android and iOS apps.

Role Overview

As a User Experience Analyst you will work across both public and private sector clients. You will enjoy working in multi-disciplinary teams across a number of projects while collaborating with your peers and end users to design services throughout the product lifecycle. You will create solutions to complex problems with intuitive and compelling experiences that deliver both the business’s and their user’s needs. There are opportunities to work on:

At PA we are focussed on conceiving, designing and delivering smart, innovative solutions for complex industry issues across sectors and work closely with our clients and their users to achieve that. We are a leading partner on the Google Cloud Platform Program, an Amazon Solution Provider and a Microsoft Silver Partner. This role is based in London but you will often work on client site side-by-side with our clients and end users.

Desired Skills and Experience

As a graduate you will ideally have had some direct experience, via work placement for example, with the following specific skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of applying the User Centred Design process
  • Knowledge and experience in an Agile project methodology
  • Knowledge and experience of conducting and analysing user research
  • Experience of using a number of UX, design and prototyping tools including:
    • Axure (or other wireframing and design tools e.g. Balsamiq, Sketch)
  • Adobe Creative SuitePassionate and excited about all things UX and delighting users!
  • Very strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse problems and data
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communicator and presenter
  • A good knowledge of what is possible in digital user interfaces
  • Ability to do some basic CSS/HTML/JavaScript coding would be welcome
  • Experience of media production tools (e.g. AfterEffects) would also be welcome

To be considered you should have a minimum of 300 UCAS points (or equivalent) and be on track for, or have already secured a strong 2:1 degree in a Product Design, Industrial Design, Interactive Design, Human Computer Interaction or a similar subject.

At interview you will be expected to present a portfolio of work to demonstrate your approach to design, ability to create concepts, design experiences and interfaces.
