On Campus - Careers Fairs

  • Try to attend relevant careers fairs at your university - they are a great way to supplement your online research.
  • Make notes beforehand on who you want to see and what you want to find out.
  • Recruiters at careers fairs are always impressed by students who have already begun to research their company.
The candidates who impress us are the ones who have researched the companies attending the fair, therefore know who you are and what you can offer.

Lots of employers at STEM fairs are Gradcracker advertisers and well known to us. Visit our stand first for a quick heads-up on who’s particularly targeting students from your degree discipline. Check out gradcracker.com/events to see where we will be and to start that all-important research.
  • If you see one of your followed employers at a fair, make sure you tell them that you Follow them and that you have your CV uploaded.
  • When you visit a careers fair, remember, first impressions count - dress smartly.
