About graduate programmes

  • Graduate programmes or ‘schemes’ usually involve a structured programme of learning and development over a set period of time - typically two years.
  • On a graduate programme you will often get a chance to experience different areas of the business.
  • Some areas may appeal to you more than others and your employer will usually discuss your preferences before settling you in a particular area when your programme ends.
  • Although a permanent job is not always guaranteed, employers are unlikely to invest time and money in your training for another company to benefit.
Don't wait until completing your degree before applying for a job - the best time to start applying is at the beginning of your final year.
