Established 20 years ago, EPS (Environmental Protection Strategies) work on a diverse range of geotechnical and environmental consultancy projects, for an even more diverse range of clients. As well as independent clients they work with top names in the residential, retail, industrial and petrochemical sectors, providing the right outcomes time and time again, proving their worth as a safe pair of hands as well as good, responsive people who are interesting and fun to work with.

We take pride in providing a practical and innovative approach with particular emphasis placed on delivering commercially sensitive, expedient, and cost-effective environmental consultancy services to their clients and they offer UK wide geographical coverage from their offices in Cambridge, Leeds, and Bristol.

As well as being a market leading geo-environmental and geo-technical consultancy, EPS are a committed employer who value their team as their most important asset, providing them with exceptional levels of support and opportunities for career development.

We are looking for a highly competent graduate with a degree in science or engineering (geology, civil engineering, geography, earth or environmental sciences and, as the Bristol office specialises in Geomatics, Land Surveying would also be highly relevant).

The successful graduate will enjoy the variety of working on a diverse range of geo-environmental projects, with exposure to a broad range of clients across the UK.

They will be involved in the delivery and project management of geotechnical and contaminated land site investigations and subsequent solutions, as well as factual and interpretive report writing. They will have the opportunity to work in all 3 offices and skill centres (if desired), being supported and developed by a highly experienced team, and being influential in progressing your career according to your interests.

Responsibilities:

  • Site assessments for contaminated land and geotechnical projects.
  • Assess potential environmental/geotechnical impacts and undertake risk assessments.
  • Field supervision of drilling operations.
  • Borehole logging using visual inspection.

  • Continuous professional development

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree (Geology, Geography, Land Surveying, Civil Engineering etc.)
  • A self-motivated and highly organised team player, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Client focused with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail
