As a Graduate Civil or Structural Engineer, you will help to support the technical aspects of civil engineering and multidisciplinary designs across a range of inspiring and exciting projects in the UK and internationally.

We operate across a range of markets including Cities & Development, Energy, Environment & Geoscience, Transportation and Water.

Whether it’s the design of an airport, bridge, railway station, university campus, nuclear power station or an offshore windfarm, you’ll help us to deliver outstanding projects that respond to the needs and resources of a contemporary world. Where could I work?

As a Civil or Structural Engineering graduate, you’ll be joining one of the following business areas:

Infrastructure

Locations: Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Epsom (Surrey), Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, Oxford, Peterborough, Swansea, Warrington

Degree requirements: Minimum 2.2 Master’s/MEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Nuclear and Power

Locations: Bristol, Epsom (Surrey), Warrington, Whitehaven

Degree requirements: Minimum 2.2 Master’s/MEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

We are the team that engineer, deliver, manage and decommission nuclear facilities worldwide, using the latest technology solutions to ensure the lights stay on and the world remains a safe place.

Our power business has been delivering mechanical, electrical, civil and structural engineering services to the global power sector for over 20 years. We’re now leaning into new energy challenges such as offshore generation and transmission, energy from waste, electric vehicle infrastructure and the integration of smart grid technology - helping to drive evolution in the power sector.

With an unwavering commitment to safety, quality and efficiency, we are well positioned to add value to today’s challenges of delivering the next generation of nuclear power plants while at the same time maintaining the existing generating fleet and safely decommissioning legacy facilities. We’re now looking to the future, working with Small Modular Reactor (SMR) developers to advance new designs and developing digital applications, such as virtual and augmented reality, for the nuclear industry.

Oil, Gas and Offshore Wind

Locations: Aberdeen, Bristol, Edinburgh, Epsom (Surrey), London

Degree requirements: Minimum 2.2 Master’s/MEng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

Our operations focus on fixed and floating offshore structures, terminals, refineries, petrochemical plants and subsea pipelines. Having worked on thousands of oil and gas installations around the world, you’ll join a team of over 20,000 experts located in North America, Australia, the Middle East, Europe and the UK. We work across the life cycle of the oil and gas industry, finding innovative solutions to complex challenges through the increased use of digital and immersive technologies, and have worked on over 700 projects in the last five years all around the world. We have provided unrivalled technical expertise and support to the oil and gas industry for more than four decades. Our highly skilled teams are leading technical developments across the globe and, with our input, problems are solved and critical decisions are made with confidence.

Transportation

Locations: Belfast, Epsom (Surrey), Glasgow, Stockton-on-Tees, Warrington

Degree requirements: Minimum 2.1 Bachelor’s or 2.2 Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering

What are we looking for?

  • Passion and understanding for working in a consultancy environment, with the ability to work with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive and determination to achieve professional accreditation
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with the confidence to work on your own initiative or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions
  • An interest in developing digital and technology-based solutions
  • A flexible approach to travel as our projects and training may take you to a variety of locations in the UK and possibly abroad.
