King's Cross station roof refurbishment

This project for Network Rail saw the full refurbishment of King's Cross Station's historic barrel-vaulted roof, undertaken above a fully operational railway station.

These works were successfully performed on a 24 hour programme in a high-risk environment, with significant interface issues with the travelling public, train operations and other projects.

York Hospital

Kier's entire programme of works took place in a live hospital environment, with close co-operation between client and contractor resulting in 'business as usual' running of the hospital.

Vital works included the phased construction of a new build breast, haematology and oncology (BHO) department, and a new ultra-modern interim critical care unit.

The University of Cambridge

This major new academic laboratory needed space for 150 scientists and staff, plus the facilities needed to work at the forefront of plant growth and development.

Kier produced a multi-faceted design in terms of structural complexity, intricate interfaces and architectural detailing, achieving an outstanding quality finish on-time and to budget.

Epsom Station

The regeneration programme will comprise the demolition of the existing station and ticket vending building, and the production of new and improved modern station facilities.

Several Kier businesses will combine to create a contemporary building with many different façade treatments, providing Epsom with a long-overdue modern gateway/interchange.
