At Shearwater we develop innovative data collection and imaging technology to provide clearer images of the subsurface, helping our clients make better decisions about the future of energy.
Our clients drive everything we do and we value their ongoing contribution to the company’s development as we enhance technology and deliver ambitious new survey designs. Innovation is central to our culture and our people are creating fresh ways of conducting seismological science under the waves.
We are a company of curious innovators, explorers and pioneers. When you join us as a graduate trainee, we empower you, trust you, and place you on the path to a career where you’ll collaborate with global colleagues, push boundaries and continue to learn and develop.
Split across 4 key business areas, we recruit STEM graduates globally into our Marine Acquisition, Software Processing and Imaging and Technology Solutions.
You’ll be working with energy companies, helping them interpret data to understand deposits of natural resources so the world has the power it needs as it transitions from fossil fuels. Our experienced onshore and offshore processing department provides clients with the highest quality subsurface images, whilst the industry experts in our Research and Development team are committed to adopting and developing new technology in their focus on geophysical algorithmic analysis.
There’s a reason why we are the global leader in marine seismic acquisition. Our platforms are equipped with the most advanced systems, the result of decades of major investments in research and engineering. Having advanced technology onboard our vessels allows fast-track processing whilst at sea. It means we can deliver the highest quality seismic insights for oil and gas discovery, carbon capture initiatives and windfarm surveys.
Our Research, Engineering and Manufacturing teams have decades of experience in generating game-changing seismic acquisition technologies vital for the discovery of natural resources to meet the world’s energy needs. Our technology is increasingly used for carbon capture and offshore windfarm location, both of which will be essential to the energy transition. None of our competitors have this technical R&D capability in-house and the resource is both best-in-class and unique. By continuously innovating we are also reducing our use of energy and our impact on the environment.
