The Mary Lyon Centre at MRC Harwell (MLC) is located in an expanding science and innovation park in Oxfordshire and is an internationally renowned centre at the forefront of genetics research. As the hub of the new National Mouse Genetics Network, the specialist facilities and capabilities of the MLC support a number of research groups across the UK to accelerate our understanding of human disease.

If you are interested in developing skills and projects within environmental sustainability, and keen to drive change within a cutting edge research facility, then this could be the role for you.
This role will give the successful candidate the responsibility for helping to drive all aspects of the sustainability of the site forward and will be given substantial training and development opportunities to ensure that they are equipped to make a difference on what is a complex site.
This role will suit a recent or prospective graduate who is available to start in Summer 2025. No prior work experience in this sector is necessary, however you should have a passion for developing your skills and knowledge, and the drive to make a difference to the environmental sustainability of the research at the Mary Lyon Centre.
You will be expected to work onsite to be a visible presence, championing environmental sustainability, and making a valuable and positive contribution, with a range of stakeholders.
