Graduate Engineer

Chemical, Mechanical.

The Role

FairHeat has an established graduate programme and is now in the eighth year of recruiting graduates. The graduate programme is a two-year structured scheme with rotation through different business areas where you will work on designing, optimising and making sure our clients’ heat networks are delivered to the highest standards.

FairHeat About Us
Watch to find out more about FairHeat and what it's like to work there.

You will also have the opportunity to work on both new and existing heat networks at the building and city-scale. The programme is focused on developing technical competencies, as well as the overall consulting engineering tool kit.

The primary route to develop skills is through project work and a proactive approach is taken to ensure that Graduate Engineers get a broad exposure to the different types of work over the two-year graduate programme. This is achieved through a series of rotations around all the teams at FairHeat to ensure you understand every part of our business and how we work together.

The graduate programme is challenging, with substantial amounts of time on site and it is expected that Graduate Engineers will be proactively engaging with clients on projects from day one. While you will be introduced to challenging projects at an early stage, FairHeat offers a very supportive environment with close mentoring and guidance throughout your career.

The programme offers graduates a fast-track to develop expertise in a new and quickly developing industry where there is a huge demand for knowledgeable and competent engineers.

FairHeat’s graduate programme has a successful track record to date. Over 90% of the engineers that joined as graduates are still working at FairHeat with many of them now at Associate or Senior level within the business, leading departments and teams.
