What you'll be doing

As part of the Marine sector, our 1,300-strong business based out of Clyde designs, integrates and supports some of the most complex systems. As the Ministry of Defence’s commercial partner at HMNB Clyde, Babcock deliver efficient, high quality and well-coordinated in-service engineering support. As a result, we’re looking to recruit talented, enthusiastic and driven people to join our team.

What you'll get out of it

A summer placement will give you the opportunity to put theory into practice and gain vital work experience and understanding of operations at Clyde.

You can expect to receive an overview of all aspects of engineering from design and safety, fleet planning and fleet production to name a few. You will have opportunities to work on projects relating to the business operations, supporting current projects relating to maintenance planning, safety cases and business improvements.

What you'll need

You’ll need to be studying a relevant a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, preferably accredited, in Year 3 or above of your studies. Successful candidates will also need to satisfy the MOD’s security requirements (and may need to complete a medical assessment).
