Having been involved from SiXworks from the start, I am infinitely proud of what we have achieved and how we have accomplished it. The team at SiXworks includes some of the greatest minds I have had the pleasure of working with, and it is a credit to have such a diverse team of individuals who are experts in their fields.
My personal journey at SiXworks started following a career in National Security – I met the directors prior to the start of SiXworks when we were working on sensitive projects. We identified a need for rapid capability development with defence customers – a way they could de-risk new technologies and gain confidence without running multi-year projects, by which time the technology likely would be very different by the delivery time. This approach at SiXworks allowed me the luxury of working with new technologies or new products that I had only read about but hadn’t had the opportunity to work with hands-on – with customers that were desperate to use them to get ahead of the curve.
In my 4 and a half years with SiXworks, I have progressed from leading our Infrastructure projects (around Public, Private and Hybrid cloud platforms), to being Head of Cyber Operations (leading our Offensive and Defensive Cyber projects and capabilities), to eventually the point of Chief Technology Officer where I am responsible for the technology strategy and leadership in the company. This personal progression has been incredibly valuable to me and I am privileged to have had the opportunity.
