This 6 to 12-month internship will give you exposure to some of the world’s toughest challenges – and the chance to help solve them. You’ll be part of a global team of 15,500 engineers: a team that’s as talented as it is diverse. All of them use their outstanding technical knowledge, determination and team working skills to create solutions they can be truly proud of. And because they’re working on real projects with real outcomes, so will you.
On this 6 to 12-month programme you’ll gain practical experience on real-life assignments. Along the way, you’ll work alongside some true experts and be taught valuable skills. Beyond on the job training, you’ll get exposure to project management and other transferable skills. And because you’ll be doing it in a real world business context, you’ll have every chance to make an impact. You may even be invited to join our graduate programme – a fantastic start to a career with one of the world’s most prestigious global companies. If you are a student member of an institute, experience gained on your internship can be used to credit some of your learning towards your graduate programme and chartership status, should you choose to join.
All of the projects you work on will support a real business need, with a direct link to our products and customers. This will be equivalent to one of the attachments from our graduate programme. It makes for a fantastic opportunity to contribute, share your ideas and make a difference. Your day to day tasks will vary, and you’ll receive support from a number of skilled professionals within the business, all committed to helping you to deliver your best.
We’re looking for people who’ll be happy to share their ideas about how we can do things even better, so we’ll want to see great communication skills developed through well-rounded life experience – academically, socially and in any previous work situations. Your pre-university academic record will be strong too, with A-levels (or equivalent) at grade B or above in Maths and Physics or Chemistry. You should also be on course to achieve at least a 2:1 or above MEng or MSc degree, or a comparable Engineering qualification. Flexibility is important too, as you could be based at any of our sites.
