We apply expertise in solid and fluid dynamics, materials science, acoustics, risk assessments, and computational simulation methods to solve complex problems.
We perform research, mathematical modeling, software development, and design to manage risks to life safety in military platforms and installations, ships and submarines, critical infrastructure, tall buildings, public facilities, industrial and petrochemical plants, and automotive and airborne vehicles.
Military, government, corporate, and academic clients value the validation of Applied Science’s software and the critical insights gained from correlating analysis with testing.
We have an opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our Applied Science Practice where we use our expert knowledge to develop technical and bespoke solutions for our clients.
The role is dependent upon the experience and skillset of the selected applicant but will require supporting projects across a wide range of disciplines, with a focus on technical safety and thermo-fluids and will support the development of our decarbonisation agenda. The candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills - facilitating positive internal and client relationships. Excellent technical writing skills for engineering consulting applications are required, as are engineering/scientific problem-solving abilities.
Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate will need to be able to obtain UK government security clearance. Eligibility requirements depend on individual circumstances.
