BrambleCFD provides a cloud platform for engineers and non-specialists to create and analyse high-end Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations. Our users include leading names in the worlds of automotive, motorsport and sports science.
BrambleCFD was spun out of its parent company, TotalSim, in 2022. Through TotalSim, our roots go all the way back to the late 90s. We are currently a multidisciplinary team of engineers, developers and business operations staff, growing to support our customer base.
The role:
BrambleCFD are looking for a Graduate CFD Applications Engineer to be a technical point of contact for our customers, supporting our sales team on the technical side of new opportunities, and supporting customer onboarding, training and ongoing technical support for active accounts.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the technical content of customer demonstrations
Executing trials and proofs-of-concepts
Onboarding new customers and delivering structured training
Providing first-line technical support for customer simulation queries
Aggregating customer feedback and advocating internally for high-impact product improvements
Representing BrambleCFD’s technical product story at relevant industry events and conferences
The role will be based at TotalSim’s Innovation Centre facility at Catesby Tunnel, nestled in the Northamptonshire countryside. It is easily commutable from Warwick/Leamington Spa, Banbury and Daventry.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an individual with the following:
Willingness to work in a customer-facing engineering role (applications engineering, technical support, customer success engineering)
An engineering degree (mechanical, aerospace or similar) with hands-on experience of Computational Fluid Dynamics
Experience running simulations in a commercial CFD code (Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM or similar)
Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage credibly with customer engineers and engineering managers
Genuine interest in working closely with customers and helping them succeed with the platform
Strong organisational skills with an ability to balance technical pre-sales support, customer training and ongoing technical support
Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with customers and prospects
The right to work in the UK
Desirable (but not essential) experience includes:
Scripting ability (Python or shell) for automating demo and trial environments
Benefits
Our graduate starting salary is £27,000. Additional benefits include 25 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays and a company pension scheme.
