Eurotherm provides valuable customisations of standard products for specific requirements of key customers via Tactical Specials. These range addition of communication parameters to changes in control algorithms.

Location: Will be in our site in Worthing, working on a hybrid mode of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. 

Purpose of Role:

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated and passionate in understanding customer problem statement, proposing optimal solutions and delivering high quality products on time. This role is suitable for individuals who are keen to learn different applications, products and their design. This role brings an opportunity for selected candidate to interact with customers, understanding different applications and collaborate with different functions involved in delivering a product variant.

About you:

A Software Engineer is expected to:

  • Work under the guidance of Principal Engineer to elicit and analyse Customer’s requirement and/or Functional Specification to deliver a Design Specification
  • Implement the modifications to the standard product as per approved Specifications
  • Test the implementation and work with Validation teams to deliver high quality SW
  • Release the Special SW to Manufacturing and internal stakeholders
  • Follow the R&D process and provide feedback for its improvement
  • Be self-motivated and be able learn and develop new skills as required.
  • Perform research in areas defined by oneself or others.

Software skills


  • Experience of Embedded C on any 8/16/32 bit microcontroller/microprocessor using any RTOS
  • Knowledge of standard SW Development Processes – Requirements Analysis, Design Methods, Unit/Integration/Feature Testing
  • Knowledge of Software Version Control such as Subversion or Git and Bug Tracking tools such as Jira or Trac
  • Self-motivation to learn (demonstrated via topics learnt outside of curriculum or normally assigned work)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics


  • Experience of Embedded C++
  • Knowledge of OOAD and UML
  • Knowledge of Analog and Digital HW Design
