Graduate QA Testers

Computer Science, IT, Software, Web Development.

About Us:

The Software Institute was founded to bridge the digital skills gap between university education and the global software industry. We focus not only on software products but on the application of software in the business and consumer world. You get real world experience and gain industry recognised certifications.

Are you motivated and looking to embark your career in tech?

QA Test Engineers play a critical role in the quality assurance process. Their primary function is to ensure the program works as intended and doesn't have any bugs or other critical errors. They oversee the entire software design, testing, and development process.

Our two-week training pathway is designed specifically for the role of QA Tester. It is a full-time, remote, fast-track programme where together with a small cohort of like-minded graduates, you will build on your existing skills through interactive sessions and self-learning.

Following the training, you will join our end client onsite near Solihull where we will support you with your first consulting placement. This is also a fantastic opportunity to be working on a transformation project with a successful company in their field, who are investing heavily in a hypergrowth technology platform which you will be involved with.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Enjoy problem-solving and creating solutions
  • Take pride in using your initiative
  • Are quick to adapt and to learn new concepts
  • Work well both without supervision and in a team
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Enjoy working in a process-driven way
  • Are adaptable to change, and will put forward new ideas
  • Enjoy building relationships, will communicate quickly and effectively with the wider team
  • Have a flair for picking up new technical concepts

And the technical bit, it is essential that you have:

  • Strong Java experience
  • Strong passion and aptitude for learning new technologies
