Gradcracker works here's the proof
"Since joining PBA, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within infrastructure, flood risk and drainage, utilities, and transport. And I haven’t even worked here for more than a year yet!"
Postgraduate study: MEng Civil Engineering, Heriot-Watt University
I discovered PBA through my university’s career fair shortly after graduating. Upon graduating, I was looking for work that would offer me a wide range of opportunities, rather than confining me to a specific job or task. Since joining PBA, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within infrastructure, flood risk and drainage, utilities, and transport. And I haven’t even worked here for more than a year yet!
PBA’s focus on the people-side of consultancy also appealed to me. Through their core-values, they recognise that a consultancy is only as good as the people who comprise it. Following this value, collaboration is greatly encouraged between disciplines, which further expands on the opportunities available to you as an employee of PBA.
Since starting with PBA, I have attended training days in Reading through the Graduate Development Programme. These have allowed me to expand my skills in areas beyond the baseline job description, includes areas such as client relationship and project management training.
Not only have these training days provided me with the opportunity for professional development, but they have also allowed me to meet and socialise with other PBA graduates from different cities.
RAF Halton Flood Risk and Drainage. This project was done in collaboration with the hydro team, and posed unique challenges which enhanced my own engineering skills. It also involved a fun site visit to an operating RAF airfield!
