Our rail team comprises a diverse and highly skilled team of engineers, inspectors and project managers, who deliver expert design and consultancy on a range of rail projects, all in accordance with the Network Rail GRIP 1-8 process.

Bringing together our highways teams enables us to use our extensive experience to help our customers deliver their own corporate and local strategies. Working through locally-based teams, we support communities by helping to create better, safer and more pleasant places through the provision of integrated highway design, well-designed streets, well-maintained grounds, modern public lighting and efficient winter maintenance solutions.
We provide integrated environmental and waste solutions to our customers across the UK.We collect refuse and recycling from over a million homes, and collect more than 880 million tonnes of food, garden, household and general waste. We maintain 127 million square metres of space – the same as 289 Vatican Cities - and over four million people visit the household waste recycling centres we manage every year.
Amey keeps homes across the UK supplied with the water, heat and power that we all depend on.
We keep clean water flowing through Britain’s taps, provide safe sewerage facilities, clean up after flooding incidents and install pipes for housing developers through the north west, midlands and south east.
Working with electricity Distribution Network Operators, we help to power the UK and Ireland. This involves building substations, renewing overhead lines and cutting back the trees so they don’t get too close to overhead lines.
We support energy suppliers nationally, providing metering services to commercial and domestic properties across the country. Our teams install, maintain and repair electricity and gas meters on behalf of many of the UK’s ‘big six’ energy companies as well as more than 6,000 industrial and commercial customers ranging from Peel Holdings to Electricity North West, and Williams BMW to the Ministry of Justice.
We manage, clean and maintain over 1,000 buildings and properties for a wide range of public and private sector customers. This includes local authorities, schools, colleges, the National Health Service and the Ministry of Justice estate.
