Our Opportunity:

We’ve partnered with Strathclyde and Heriot Watt Universities, to offer an exceptional four-year, Civil Engineering Graduate Apprenticeship Programme, where you’ll gain a BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering degree, fully funded, at the same time as gaining real life experience, working on civil engineering projects from day one. As a Graduate Apprentice with a structured development plan, you’ll gain invaluable experience and exposure working alongside our industry experts on varied and exciting, high-profile projects, such as the, development of the A96 Dualling East of Huntly to Aberdeen, advanced structural health monitoring on the Forth Road Bridge and Severn Crossings, Bridge design, inspections, assessment and asset management services for Local Authorities throughout Scotland; we’re also carrying out design of the Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside Project as well as designs for the flood management and urban drainage designs for Glasgow City Council.

As part of our growing team located from either our Edinburgh or Motherwell design hubs, you’ll collaborate and engage with colleagues through a combination of home and office-based working, delivering projects throughout Scotland and further afield from bridge inspections, to the design, construction and maintenance of nationally significant road schemes.

Our multidisciplinary teams encompass all aspects of investigation, design and construction of roads, bridges and civil structures, geotechnical engineering, ITS and lighting, rail, environmental consultancy, utilities, BIM and transport planning schemes.

What you will bring?

One of the best things about an Apprenticeship with us is that you don’t need to have experience of working in engineering or in our specific industries. However, we do hope that you’ll share our passion for these and demonstrate your desire to develop yourself within this exciting area.

We offer a fantastic opportunity to help you take those initial steps in your career and our fabulous courses at either Heriot Watt or Strathclyde Universities are delivered via day release, throughout the duration of your degree course, providing you with invaluable time to study and network with your peers.

Qualification requirements:

  • OR, Successful completion of a Level 3 Civil Engineering Apprenticeship
