What will this role involve?

This Graduate Civil Engineer role sits within a vibrant highway and rivers engineering team based in Belfast. You’ll be working on a variety of inspections, surveys, assessments, design (feasibility and detail), contract preparation and BIM for clients in Ireland and UK.

We are looking for innovative, forward thinking graduates who will help propel our business forward and become our future leaders. You’ll also have:

  • Minimum 2.2 - MEng degree in relevant subject – Civil or Structural Engineering or working towards a Masters (or equivalent).
  • A keen interest in highways / rivers engineering.
  • Computer literate.
  • Commitment to studying towards professional qualification.
  • Strong analytical, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Full driving license - available to work throughout Ireland & UK as required to meet work requirements.
  • Happy to work nights and weekends, if required to carry out site supervising work.

Desirable to have the following:

  • Knowledge of highway design standards (DMRB) / contract standards (MCHCW).
  • Knowledge / use of highway / drainage /rivers design software, including Civil 3D, Microdrainage and knowledge of BIM level 2 and associated standards.
  • Familiar with Employers Information Requirements and BIM Execution Plan and their requirements.
  • Experience of working within a Common Data Environment (CDE), including workflows.
