We are excited to offer a number of Summer Internships opportunities, lasting 10-12 weeks. Our Summer Internship programme provides a fantastic opportunity to gain real industry and project experience within our Transport Infrastructure business in the South West trunk road unit, commence or develop your career, given real responsibility from day one, on high profile projects with clients such as Network Rail, Highways England, Heathrow Airport, Transport Scotland and New York MTA.

From day one you’ll be given real responsibility, gaining invaluable experience and exposure working alongside our industry experts and across your team.

The role

As a Summer Intern, you will be working alongside the team to deliver the following:

  • Inventory validation on Transport Scotland’s asset management GIS software
  • Comprehensive inspections and condition rating on trunk road highways assets
  • Safety Inspections on trunk roads within the Greater Glasgow area

What will you bring?

We therefore keep our list of essential requirements to a minimum, but there are a few things needed to qualify for our programme:

  • Working towards a Civil Engineering degree
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Competent IT knowledge
  • GIS/Highways experience preferable
