We are looking for psychologists, physiologists, human factors specialists and other skills
  • Our Materials scientists come from a materials, chemistry, physics or engineering background and are employed in QinetiQ across a wide variety of projects – we design, assess and advise on the best materials and the best way to employ these in support of our customers’ applications – this can include the development of multi-functional materials to how we can use new materials such as graphene.
  • Our Weapons scientists come from a variety of physics, chemistry, mathematics and engineering backgrounds. They are critical to research, advice and assessments of weapons systems from long range missiles to small arms pistols and including the detailed technologies that enable their use. In many cases the first degree has been supplemented with a second degree or experience in the weapons field.
  • Our Electro Magnetic and Acoustics Scientists again come mainly from Physics, Maths and Engineering Backgrounds – but they have developed their specialism in key areas. The electromagnetic scientists and engineers work in the development of technologies, materials and systems for the controlled release of energy, communication, detection and protection against threats across a variety of wavebands.

To deliver effective solutions to our range of Customers, we employ a mix of theoretical, modelling and experimental capabilities and our teams use an impressive array of facilities and laboratories – from a long arm centrifuge to assess G-loadings on humans to analytical chemistry and materials characterisation laboratories.
