In the Analysis, Modelling & Simulation discipline we are looking for graduates to join a team solving complex problems in sensing, communications and secure navigation. We work across multiple domains (space, air, land, maritime and cyber) on some of the most interesting and technically challenging scientific and engineering projects in the UK.
Duties & Responsibilities
You’ll be contributing to some of the most challenging science and technology programmes in the UK and could be responsible for:
Simulating electromagnetic propagation using Maxwell’s equations
Developing machine vision algorithms to automatically recognise objects using various approaches including deep learning
Development of tools and models to validate solutions or improve efficiency and in sensing, communications or navigation
Undertaking complex signal processing to form images, often from big data (e.g. terabyte data collections)
Designing, building or flying bespoke modern RF systems such as our recent multi-quadcopter radar system.

Work in a variety of teams applying innovative thinking and novel approaches to analysis techniques
Be challenged to be creative and innovative, developing a broad understanding of your chosen subject areas
Be part of a two year graduate programme allowing you to develop your technical expertise whilst getting the opportunity to experience a wider range of experience as well.
Get access to training to develop your technical and leadership skills
Get the opportunity to support community projects, for example acting as a STEM ambassador to local schools.
To apply for the role you MUST meet the following criteria:
Have attained, or are about to attain a minimum of a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) subject. Be willing to learn, and have demonstrated an aptitude for learning at pace
Have a keen interest in technology and engineering, including areas such as:
Mathematical modelling and simulation
Algorithm design and development
Scripting and programming (e.g. Python, MATLAB, IDL or C/C++)
Digital signal processing and data fusion
Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.
