We are looking for individuals looking to start a career in secure communications to join our team of over 150 experts carrying out engineering and research projects. You will develop the skills needed to contribute to the delivery of a wide range of programmes for military, government and commercial customers to support the protection of national critical infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities

You could be responsible for:
  • Integrating and testing communication systems bound for Royal Navy ships/submarines.
  • Designing, building and testing networks to exchange information between live military systems.
  • Providing assurance to secure communications and networks which protect UK and allied information.
  • Identifying, integrating and demonstrating new technologies which can enhance the UK’s deployable communication systems.
Joining QinetiQ you would:
  • Be part of a team of 150 experts in cyber security, IT and communications
  • Work in multidiscipline teams delivering projects to a wide range of military and government customers

Entry Requirements

To apply for the role you MUST meet the following criteria;

  • Completed your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics or other science subject
  • Be willing to learn, and have demonstrated an aptitude for learning at pace
  • Have a keen interest in technology and engineering.

Please be aware that some of our roles are subject to both security & export control restrictions. For these roles it means that you would have to hold full British citizenship and obtain the right to stay and work within the UK. Restrictions may also mean that any dual or previous nationalities held can affect the roles in which you can perform within QinetiQ.
