QinetiQ’s Radio Frequency, secure Networks and Communications (RFNCs) is made up of multidisciplinary teams of over five hundred people, who deliver high quality and expert service to a wide range of military and government customers across the whole of the UK. The Electrical and Electronic Design group, within RFNCs, provides QinetiQ’s electrical and electronic design, manufacture and test capability and expertise in support of the many varied projects that QinetiQ carries out.
At present there are two opportunities to join this group for a year:
The first being at our base in Farnborough, supporting the development of our Space communication products. This will involve aiding with the electronic design and programming of a full Software Defined Radio system, based on the latest commercial SDRs and our current products through to a space qualified design.
The second opportunity is at our base in Malvern, supporting the design, test and development of advanced and robust satellite navigation systems in support of the Secure Navigation business. This work will include aiding the design, test and production of receiver and interface boards that utilise RF and digital ASICs being developed by QinetiQ.
You will need to be studying towards at least a 2:2 in a degree with a key focus on any of the disciplines listed below:
We will also consider applications which have clear & relevant external experience in any of the above disciplines. You will also need to support this by studying towards at least a 2:2 degree.
