As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for technical aspects of your respective programmes covering both new product development, evolution of existing products and supporting the manufacture of in-service products.
You will apply scientific principles and logical reasoning to generate and evaluate technical information to identify engineering solutions. The projects you will be involved in cover all phases of a product’s lifecycle; concepts, development, risk reduction, testing, qualification, production and in service support.
You will work with a team of engineers to deliver a variety of project goals, depending on project size and complexity. This diverse role will provide you with the opportunity to engage with all different engineering disciplines, as well as gaining a wealth of experience in this area.
There will also be opportunity to engage with many other functions within BAE Systems on a wide range of projects.
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
