As an IT Security Intelligence Analyst, you'll be working as part of a dynamic team safeguarding BAE Systems UK enterprise IT infrastructure against Cyber threats by gathering security intelligence and analysing it against the IT environment to ascertain the risk to the business.

Our Enterprise IT Services team has a vital role in delivering some of Applied Intelligence’s key projects, as well as providing IT services for the wider BAE Systems business.

As an IT Security Intelligence Analyst you will be involved with recording events to ensuring risks are managed through IT Security Incident Response and where applicable passed into Security Engineering to investigate mitigating controls. You will be responsible for ensuring the Threat and Intelligence Service is operated in line with agreed Service definitions and measures whilst developing the Threat and Intelligence Service through process, people and technology where appropriate. This role will involve researching, analysing and interpreting threat intelligence to support; incident response, risk assessments, security strategy and planning activities and underpin business cases for new security capabilities.
To succeed in this area, you’ll need to be on course to achieving a 2:1 Bachelor's degree for our undergraduate schemes. Please refer to each business unit listed below for accepted degree subjects. In addition, you must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to successfully achieve security clearance.
In terms of personal qualities, you’ll need strong analytical skills and creativity to devise methods of producing optimum performance output. It is also essential as an IT Security Intelligence Analyst to be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, so excellent communication skills are a must. Industrial Placement: We offer a range of 12-month placement opportunities for undergraduates in Applied Intelligence - Filton. Taking your place as part of the team, you’ll share the everyday challenges and the long-term objectives to get an insight into a career as a professional engineer and gain valuable industry experience. The starting salary for Industrial Placement students is £18,000.
