We are looking for highly motivated and driven individuals to support the development and implementation of the Process Safety Management strategy for Refining & Chemicals Europe.
You will be responsible for the delivery of projects resulting from hazard studies, management of change reviews and process safety plant modification requests. Working alongside experienced Project Engineers they will help ensure allocated projects are properly scoped, on time, and within budget.

To assist in the implementation of Process Safety Management projects for both Brimsdown and Royston sites
To run assigned projects in a transparent manner, reporting regularly and maintaining the associated tracking documentation
To plan and prioritise work to ensure on time delivery of a project, communicating to all project stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Identify risks and issues associated with projects and ensure these are escalated as appropriate
To operate within, and adhere to, EHS best practices and procedures, ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with JM policies
To maintain a high standard of health and safety compliance and demand the same of others.
Are you the ideal candidate?
Are you a penultimate year Chemical / Mechanical / Controls or Electrical Engineering student?
Do you have:
Good technical and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to interact on site
Good knowledge and proficiency in writing both technical and project reports and preparing presentations
Excellent communication skills and can clearly present ideas and solutions to varying levels of audience
Strong health and safety awareness
Resilience to working under pressure
Ability to work within a team environment
Awareness of EHS legislation, codes of practice and associated standards
Previous work experience/summer internship
A good understanding in project management principles (APM etc...)
An understanding of hazard study methodologies (HAZ1 – 6, LOPA, Functional safety etc…)
Due to the nature of this role applicants must be non-smokers and have been free from nicotine products for at least 3 months.
