At London we are a small Dynamic team that provide customer support for the European region, based at an Engine repair facility in the Heathrow area and established in the region for nearly 30 years.  

On Wing Support Operate a worldwide network of dispatch and quick turn engine maintenance facilities, providing more than 4,500 rapid repair solutions yearly to more than 250 customers worldwide.  

A full-service provider with the regulatory certification and OEM engineering support needed to complete complex engine repairs. Providing 24/7 AOG support,, we dispatch OEM-trained technicians with tooling and parts to the flight line to provide repair solutions that help avoid unscheduled engine removal.  

The On Wing Support team performs approved repairs at the flight line for all GE and CFM engines. Our service stations carry FAA, EASA and local regulatory certifications with authorisations to perform services in the field outside of their fixed bases. Our service comes with full component, tooling, logistics, engineering and project management support to provide an integrated solution and support.   

This is very much a fast-paced environment, customer facing with a quick, responsive team where the emphasis is very much on keeping our customers flying. 

Roles and Responsibilities

Over your 12-month Placement you'll work in a Finance business environment gaining invaluable skills and experience. The opportunities available will cover all areas of finance from financial planning and analysis to order execution. You could be preparing key reports, analysing data, working on simplification projects, reviewing assets or supporting the preparation of quarter end accounts.  

You will be guided by structured goals and objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects supported by your manager and team around you. We will support you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE experience. Your manager will offer coaching and mentoring, and the Company will provide the opportunity to connect with other placement students across the UK.

  • Currently studying towards a Finance-related degree – penultimate/final year  
  • Keen interest in Finance

Useful Information 

  • All placements are available to penultimate/final year students and will start between June to August 2022, for a duration of 12 months.   
  • Application deadline is 31st December 2021. However, we review applications on a rolling basis and encourage you to apply ASAP. Vacancies will close once filled.  
  • The selection stages include online assessments, video interview and a final round interview.
