Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Providing support to Production through first line support of test equipment breakdowns
  • Fault finding and driving improvements to equipment reliability and safety
  • Supporting the Test Engineering function in the smooth transfer of new products into production
  • Calibration and preventative maintenance of test equipment and fixtures
  • Supporting new test equipment release into manufacturing
  • Training of operators on correct use of test equipment
  • Identifying test and build improvements within company products.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of improvement techniques (e.g. DFMA, Value Engineering, Kaizen, 5S)
  • Knowledge and experience of Electronic systems/components
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
  • Ability to work well within a team and to obtain co-operation and lead change
  • Self-motivated with ability to see innovative solutions to problems and the enthusiasm to drive them to a successful conclusion
  • HNC or equivalent in Electronic Engineering or other relevant subject.
