An Obsolescence Management Technician is required to join the team in Crawley. As an Obsolescence Technician you will work within the Through Life Support Engineering (TLSE) team and carry out Component Engineering and Obsolescence activities.

Key duties:

  • Learn to undertake day-to-day Component Engineering & Obsolescence activities.
  • Perform Component Engineering & Obsolescence tasks supported by existing team members within the group.
  • Work as an effective team member.
  • Liaise closely with all aspects of engineering.
  • Liaise with internal departments including Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Test. 

Experience and skills required:

  • ONC level education or equivalent in and electronic engineering discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturer’s data sheets, national & international standards.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical components both active and passive.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills including good working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office packages.
  • Able to obtain SC level security clearance.
