Thales UK has a fantastic opportunity for an individual join our world renowned Flight Avionics Team (FLX) as part of our Systems Engineering team at Crawley. Working as part of the wider finance team, the post holder will fulfil an incremental role, responsible for the control, review and reporting of a portfolio of products and programmes (Civil and Studies).
As a Commercially aware accountant and with development to become a change agent, the role requires that endearing value is added to the business, not just the achievement of a profitability percentage: Working with the Business Controllers and Sector Leads, the optimising of the product line Key Customers and Market Opportunities undertaken will be influenced by this role.
Empowering the PMO with timely and accurate data as well as using the new BI and supporting systems to develop enhanced approaches to the review and reporting process; there is the scope to make a difference by challenging the current operating models, be it within the PMO, Industrial Operations or Functional teams.
Developing a strong grasp of the Balance sheet aspects of the projects within the portfolios as well as the focus on profitability will be a core objective for the new incumbent.
As a member of the FLX Domain Finance team, there will also be the on-going opportunity for the new starter, when ready, to further broaden their Project Accountant knowledge and skillset across FLX Product-lines, Production, Studies, Grants and Civil Aviation.
