After graduating from university, I wanted a job that would not only allow me to utilise the technical skills that I developed, but also my soft skills to assist customers with their problems. NI was exactly what I was searching for. I was instantly impressed by the positive work environment and the work hard play hard culture. NI is a company that really encourages talent growth and allows employees to shape their own career path. During the short 2 months that I have been with NI, I have already witnessed 2 promotions within the department that I am currently working in.
As an Applications Engineer, I work directly with customers to solve their technical challenges. It can be a little daunting at first as NI has such a diverse customer and product range, but the training and support provided is excellent in preparing you for the job. People in the office are also very friendly and helpful so you will never feel like you are on your own if you are unsure about something.
So far, I have enjoyed the unique challenges that I face working as an Applications Engineer, and I look forward to rotating into sales in the future and see what new challenges it may bring!
