What you will be doing

You will be on a development pathway to prepare you to be a EE MeE Industrial Leader and can expect to be involved in the following;  

As a Manufacturing Engineering Graduate, you will be able to gather experience supporting the team with technology expertise and gain product and supplier knowledge to ensure the manufacturability and quality of the product / work package from an industrial point of view. 

You will find out how the interface works between the industrial community and the engineering community, as well as the related supplier functions. You will gain an understanding of the end to end industrial process work from the preparation of potential supplier selection to in-service support.

Along these different phases of the life cycle of the product, you will have a unique opportunity to develop technology expertise to improve products / work packages within the industrial community and to better understand the Airbus sourcing and value chain for suppliers.

During your time in the department you will get to understanding and working knowledge of the industrial approaches and key requirements of Composite manufacture and Metallic technologies. Covering detailed part manufacture to major assemblies, from welding, forming, machining, automation robotics and surface treatments.

What we look for:

To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate;

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
  • Maximum of three years relevant work experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development..

What you will need to apply:

Degree  

  • Technical Degree with good academic achievement in Maths, Physics and English.

Specific experience or interests:

  • Desire to influence future designs of products to maximise the use of new technologies. Keen interest in aerospace industry and product manufacture. 
  • Interest in project management and ‘methods & tools’ to support successful outcome
  • Ability to operate remotely and in new environments across team boundaries.
  • Open minded and promote change.
