As an Assistant Design Engineer in the Mechanical Design Office, you will be carrying out a range of Design Activities as required by the Lead Designer. The department is focused on System Accommodation and Detailed Design CAD activities for Telecommunication and Observation Satellites. The Team is directly responsible for CAD based activities interacting with other specialists in a multi-disciplined environment, i.e. Stress, Thermal, RF, Electrical etc.
During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;
Contribute to Spacecraft System level Accommodation and/or Detailed Design activities and creation of CAD models, Digital Mock-up (DMU), manufacturing drawings, bills of materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Notes (ECNs).
Perform all tasks in line with Mechanical Design Office Process documentation and deliver on time on cost and on quality. Control correctness, accuracy and relevance of output using departmental checking procedures.

Please note our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.
