Materials and Process Project Engineers focus on providing project related M&P support and expertise. We provide support to Telecoms projects and Earth Observation Navigation and Science projects. Projects include ExoMars Rover, Solar Orbiter and Biomass. In the department we work on materials qualifications, interface with customers such as the European Space Agency, resolve non-conformances and support project related developments. As the technical support provided could be related to any part of the spacecraft, a broad understanding of materials and processes will be developed in this role.
During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;
You will develop your knowledge of material properties, and be expected to develop your understanding on how materials perform in a space environment (radiation, thermal, vacuum).

Please note our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;
Completed science A-levels such as Chemistry, Biology or Physics and be studying a science/engineering related degree.
