I joined NNL’s Graduate scheme in September 2021 after completing my MChem degree from University of Liverpool.
My role as a Graduate Chemist at Culham involves working in accident chemistry to support R&D projects. The aim of these projects is to improve the understanding of complex chemistry that takes place during accidents and then using this knowledge in safety management. This links to NNL’s focus area of clean energy by preventing environmental harm as well as harm to the public.
I joined NNL as I am passionate about the environment and nuclear is vital to the UK achieving net zero. The graduate scheme offers a wide range of opportunities including involvement in different technical projects, training and chartership.
