I work in a Research & Development environment in the Chemical and Process Modelling Team in Chadwick House. On a daily basis, I run computer simulations with Chemical Engineering/Chemistry software for nuclear waste management and treatment. My work is linked to one of our four focus areas which is environmental restoration. Controlling, managing and removing hazardous materials for a sustainable planet is a key area.
I am very grateful that my personal values align with NNL’s values, to tackle the climate change which is probably the most challenging problem of our generation. It is really fulfilling to know that what you do on a daily basis has a positive impact on the society and NNL’s primary purpose is nuclear science to benefit society. There is a very supportive and inclusive environment at NNL, with a lot of projects going on and opportunities to develop.
