The Digital Development team within Digital Technology provides the software engineering and development services needed to digitise Arup's engineering processes and transform the way it works. We want to deliver new and better outcomes to our clients through the use of advanced software engineering and the development of innovative digital applications. The team designs, develops and maintains both client-facing applications, productivity enhancing applications and digital products and services used globally within Arup and/or sold commercially through the OASYS brand. We are looking for Graduate IT professionals with an interest in software development to join our multi-disciplinary team of specialists and consultants in our UK offices. From your first day you will join a community of experts working on applications that make a difference to our business and our clients, whilst maintaining control of and driving your own career.
You will help us to deliver effective and professional development services to the firm, working in high performing teams to deliver client-facing tasks. You will be encouraged to develop your skills and progress in the levels of responsibility and challenging nature of projects you are involved with. As part of this role you will gain exposure to all the software development related activities within Digital Technology and our intention is to provide rotation across the various development teams to help you choose which is best for you. If you have already majored in a specific discipline through university you will be given the opportunity to progress this straight away.

You will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, such as Computing Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Engineering, Business, and Project Management or equivalent at 2.1 or above
You will have excellent written and verbal communication, supported by excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail. You will have some knowledge of IT disciplines and methods, and be keen to expand your knowledge further in a professional environment. You will have the ability to prioritise and handle multiple work assignments to meet deadlines.
We would like you to have enthusiasm for a career in software development, underpinned through a knowledge and understanding of our sector and work. As part of this, you will be able to demonstrate a creative approach to problem solving and have an aptitude to work with initiative and proactivity.
