Structural Engineering Summer Placement - Buildings

The Role

We have an opportunity for an Architectural, Civil or Structural Engineering summer student to join our well-established Buildings teams in Manchester. This is for students, who are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Building Design, to join a multi-disciplinary team for 6 weeks this summer.

You will play an active role in supporting our team to deliver our projects from feasibility through to completion across a number of sectors, including education, sport, health and mixed use developments. You will assist in preparing designs in co-ordination with the team, and gain a thorough understanding of the role of a design engineer by using relevant software and seeing first-hand how we operate.

You will work with a close knit team of structural engineers based in Manchester that works collaboratively as part of our team of structural engineers across the North West and Yorkshire.

We collaborate with architects, building services engineers and quantity surveyors. As creative engineers, we apply our engineering expertise to shape our projects.  We aim to design structures that maximise value for our clients whilst minimising their environmental impact.
