About us

At Arup, we design and deliver ground-breaking iconic projects through our work across all aspects of the built environment. Independent in ownership and spirit, we're a global firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical experts who use our skills to make a positive difference in the world.

Our people are at the heart of our business and we pride ourselves in embracing the Arup values when dealing with both our colleagues and our clients.

Arup · A Short Introduction

Many people around the world use and enjoy our work every day, however not many people are aware of the projects we are involved in. This short animation shows some of the projects and our approach.

Arup provides theatre and venue consultancy to arts, culture and entertainment clients around the built environment – for experiences, places, buildings and districts. Projects range from: school or community arts facilities, important in our local areas; to new-build and renovated international class theatres, studios and concert halls to master-planning entire cultural districts. We guide projects from early strategic planning, through design, construction, commissioning and artistic operations to help our clients thrive in a changing world. We work closely with the community, public authorities, private organisations, operators, architects, engineers and theatre staff.
