Join our Cyber Security Apprenticeship and start your journey to becoming a professionally qualified Cyber Security Analyst.
During our three-year scheme you’ll study for a level 6 BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship. Whilst there are optional modules in this apprenticeship, you’ll be expected to align to cyber security related modules.
You’ll spend time in different parts of our teams and complete your studies through day release.. You may also travel to other EDF offices, but you’ll be mainly based in Suffolk.
When you’re not studying, you’ll take on tasks including supporting Cyber and Information Security activities, architectural reviews of proposed changes to our IT environment, and maintaining and developing awareness of current information security technology and threats, to help protect our IT systems. As you progress through your apprenticeship, you’ll gain knowledge and experience and take on more responsibility, such as: security architecture, vulnerability scans and / or risk assessments, representing the Security Team at forums and events, and be responsible for particular policies, standards and other documents.
During your time on the scheme, you'll follow the Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship, over 3 years, with time for your end point assessment at the end.
Once you’ve completed your apprenticeship, you'll also have a BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree (cyber security focused), and a range of experience. You’ll also work towards gaining your accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Information Security Professionals. The future is yours for the taking!
Our preferred training provider will be University of Suffolk but depending on availability we may use an alternative provider such as Northeastern University of London.
